Softball Hitting Drills – Pitching Machine Drill
We were having troubles with our girls “loading-up”, “going-negative”, etc. at the plate. We put them on the pitching machine every day trying to get them to work on their per-swing timing. These softball hitting drill really improved the girls “load-up” during their pre-hit which in turn greatly improved their contact percentages.
Softball Practice Drills – 21 Drill
I have several softball practice drills that bring fun to our practices. This is one we call “21”. Split the team up into two groups of 6 players.
Softball Throwing Drills – Pepper
This is by far one of our most requested “fun” softball throwing drills. We do this at the end of practice. This is a great drill to build hand-eye coordination, quick reaction and to teach older players the value of knocking the ball down at all costs.
Drills for Girls Softball – Baserunning Relay Drill
This base running softball drill is great for the younger kids and keeps them excited about running bases. It is just one of the drills for girls softball that is also a good team building exercise.

The youth softball drills below are fundamental skills and drills that I use often. It is always good practice to reinforce good skills and how to avoid the bad pitch.
