We all need some fun softball drills to liven up our softball practices mid season. The “It’s Not Natural Drill” aka “Backwards Softball” which is best used later in the season fits this category perfectly.
We do two softball fielding drills–One from 2nd base and one from short. This is a good drill to work on and locate the best low glove players.
While coaching high school softball, we would always complete a defensive softball drill called “21″ the day before each game. It is a very simple concept in which you place the starting line-up on the field to begin the first inning.
