The only way that you can keep your foot on the rubber while releasing the ball is to purposely not generate any momentum. Your daughter should, however, make sure she is dragging her foot instead of picking it up off the ground, if she is even doing that. Pushing off the mound with her drag foot is how pitchers generate momentum and create speed. If they don&#039;t, their mechanics can be sacrificed.]]></description>
