As a girls softball coach, you know the importance of spending time on the various mechanics of hitting. In today’s video, we demonstrate a drill that will help your players become more skilled at bunting.

The Zone Bunting Drill

The zone hitting drill involves putting three cones out to indicate an area where your hitter wants to bunt the ball.

Here are some things to keep in mind during this girls softball drill

  • Pull the bat back with authority so the umpire understands that you’re not trying to go for that ball.
  • Focus on identifying balls and strikes.
  • Pay attention to the angle of the bat when you bunt.
