This idea for a [tag]softball coaching strategy[/tag] was sent to me by one of my readers. I’ve included it here for you to try with your team. Let me know how it works for you.
From Kris…
I love this [tag]softball[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] after we are fully warmed up (throwing) and [tag]stretching[/tag].
Line up your team around the SS position.
Place one person at 1st and one at home.
Start with the first person at SS. Have a [tag]coach[/tag](usually) hit to the SS position.
The rest of the kids are back-up.
SS fields and throws to 1st base then takes off [tag]running[/tag] down the bases to home behind the catcher.
1st base throws to home, then runs to last SS; place catcher runs to 1st. Last SS now catches.
This softball [tag]conditioning[/tag] drill will tire everyone based upon how long you run it!
