Coming up with new ideas for [tag]softball conditioning drills[/tag] can sometimes be a challenge.   Here are a couple of [tag]softball drills[/tag] that worked well for me in the past. Give these a try!

1) We like to do what we call the fence drill. The girls will line up in front of the fence. Going 1 at a time they must cover an area approximately 10 – 12 feet wide while we hit them ground balls from about 20 feet away.   The concept is to not let the [tag]softball[/tag] get by you, if it does you are out.   The last person still in the game wins.   This teaches the girls range from side to side and concentration because they do not want to lose.Softball Conditioning Drills

2) With only 10-12 players it is hard to have a intrasquad scrimmage so we will split into 3 groups and scrimmage.   There will be one group hitting while the other 2 play the field.   This allows girls to practice a game situation but at the same time it is very competitive because each group is trying to beat the other 2.
