I’m often asked for suggestions for [tag]softball hitting drills[/tag]. Here is one of the [tag]softball drills[/tag] that has been sent to me recently. It is a simple coaching tip that will pay huge dividends with your team.
For the lungers, some of my girls have a little trouble being patient, transfer their weight way to soon, have no hips left to swing the bat, which leads to weak swings and weak results.
In order to break this bad habit we’ll start our [tag]softball practice[/tag] with the rear knee on the ground, the front leg extended toward the pitcher for balance, and will soft toss to get them to feel their head staying still, their back (spine angle) in a good position, their hands then stay inside and their bat extension and resulting contact in a much better position.
