In today’s video blog post, we are demonstrating an excellent hitting drill called the “Mini-Golf Ball” Drill. This hitting drill really helps you focus on keeping the head still and watching it all the way in.

“Mini-Golf Ball” Hitting Drill

In this hitting drill, you have a small ball, and you can use either a thinner bat that they make specially for these golf balls, or you can use a regular size bat.

The pitcher is placed 10 to 15 feet away from the hitter, in order to create an accurate environment. This way, she’s seeing the same type of pitch and release that she would see in a game.   And the focus of the drill is to work on keeping the head still and hitting these pitches.

The hitter will get into a good stance and the pitcher will throw a nice, underhand firm toss.   You should see good load back and a nice swing in response, while keeping that head still. Be sure to focus on the ball right out of the pitchers hand, and watch the ball all the way into the bat.
