Purpose
Build strength and fast twitch response in forearms and wrists
Set Up
- Player can stand anywhere on the field with a weighted bat.
Instructions
- Hold bat straight up out in front of the body, hands should be about chest high, bat should be aligned with nose.
- Swing the bat through the hitting zone by snapping the wrists and then following through with the swing.
- Work on bat lag and extension

Coaching Tips
- Watch for good mechanics — which means elbow is in, head is still and vertical axis of rotation is maintained
